Ron Paul: "... what happened after 9/11...” “...they’re doing now with Iran,”

War Propaganda has been for us, the American People to accept a war. This has been going on ever since the Spanish-American War; as the most memorable slogan at the time was "Remember the Maine, To Hell with Spain". This slogan was a tool of propaganda at the time, as we suspected the Spaniards of exploding the USS Maine; now we know it likely exploded do to nobody's fault at all.

War Propaganda, of course was then used with every war. As we used the Lusitania to get us into WWII, Pearl Harbor which got us into WWII, and the Gulf of Tonkin (which is a confirmed as no attack at all in 2005) was use to get us into a war with Vietnam.

With all of these wars, the President was already wanting to go to war with them. The reasoning why we just didn't go to war with these countries is because of the Checks and Balances of our Government as we live in a Republic and not a dictatorship. In a Republic, war is up to the People; not the Government.

Ron Paul said this to 1000 people in a rally in Ames, Iowa:

“Think of what happened after 9/11, the minute before there was any assessment, there was glee in the administration because now we can invade Iraq, and so the war drums beat.”

Then Ron Paul went even futher and said: “That’s exactly what they’re doing now with Iran,”.

Ron Paul is right now, the only Anti-War GOP candidate running for President. If Ron Paul would win; it wouldn't even matter what he thinks. He would make it so it would matter what you think, as he would legally engage in a war if it had to happen. This of course means he would let the congress reunite with one of their job privileges, and vote on if the U.S. should engage in wars.
